GlycanAge is an SME dedicated to converting glycomics research into practical healthcare products.
Emerging as a spinout from Genos, GlycanAge was established to commercialize advancements in general health and wellness.
Currently, it provides the GlycanAge biological age test directly to consumers and through a network of over 900 partners in the health and wellness industry.
A noteworthy challenge in the development of glycan biomarkers is the lack of awareness regarding the significance of glycosylation among both the general population and healthcare professionals. To bridge this gap, GlycanAge dedicates considerable efforts to educating both the general populace and professionals alike.

Julija Jurić
Julija Jurić is a molecular biologist with a PhD in Glycobiology and a Research Associate in Biomedicine and Healthcare. She is an innovation manager at GlycanAge and associated Glycoscience Research Laboratory Genos. Her expertise lies in understanding the role of glycans in biological systems and their implications for health and disease. Julija is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge of (peri)menopause and developing innovativesolutions in personalized medicine and disease prevention for women.
Julija published numerous scientific research articles and actively promotes science-backed interventions that improve women´s health and longevity.
Sofia Shkunnikova
Sofia Shkunnikova, M.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry, graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the University of Zagreb.
She currently serves as the Partner Relations Manager at GlycanAge, where she leverages her scientific expertise to assist medical professionals globally in integrating GlycanAge into their practices to enhance patient care. Sofia is dedicated to translating scientific discoveries into commercial products and raising awareness about the importance of glycans among both medical professionals and the general public.
She has authored five scientific papers and has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences.
Lucija Sironić
Dr Lucija Sironić is a UK-trained medical doctor who transitioned from practising medicine in the National Health Service in England to glycobiology research and product development at GlycanAge.
Lucija holds a medical license with the General Medical Council and the Croatian Medical Chamber. At GlycanAge, Lucija is the lead consultant (specialist) and a product development scientist.
In parallel, she does research on brain N-glycans, trying to understand how factors such as ageing and disease affect the brain N-glycome of rodents and humans.
